Ray Tubes vacuum tubes were present at the WAVE Audio Visual Experience 2025, which took place on the weekend of October 10-12th in the Eastin Hotel in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. We're grateful to our Malaysian retail partner, TechX, for supporting us at the event, and to organiser Wilson Teoh and his team for the opportunity to introduce our vacuum tubes to audiophiles in Malaysia and their assistance in setting up our exhibit. WAVE is a new audio event organised by the team behind Penang's Northern International AV Show. Its mission is to create immersive environments where visitors can experience audio-visual products holistically, as a creative as well as technological endeavour. The event featured talks from audio industry insiders, bargain hunting for rare and vintage CD and vinyl, and of course displays from brands around the world. With over fifty exhibitors, there was something for everyone, including opportunities to experience high-end hi-fi systems from local retailers Statement Systems and Audio Perfection. Local brands were in attendance too, including speaker makers JW Speaker Labs, CCY Engineering, and Victoire Sense Enterprise, and cable brand AA Audio.
In addition to platforming emerging local brands, Wilson and his team have brought some of the most revered audio brands in the world to Malaysia. The event was an excellent gateway for some of the most sought-after international brands to establish themselves in the Malaysian market. Ray Tubes joined the likes of McIntosh Laboratory, Bowers & Wilkins, Sonus faber, Focal, and Naim Audio in the exhibition rooms.
The popularity of hi-fi audio is on the rise in South-East Asia, and it's people like Wilson who make that possible. His tireless work in promoting audio brands and building audiophile communities in Malaysia is a source of constant inspiration. Congratulations to everyone involved on a very successful event, and we can't wait to see how you top it next year!
